Trekking in Nepal is a very well known mountain trek; it is the premier goal for many adventurous walkers. This stunning trek visits both the base camp and Kala Pathar (5643m), a viewpoint recognized as the best vantage point to see Mount Everest.

Everest Base Camp trek begins in Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region and you start your trek passing through Sherpa villages with well cultivated fields and small villages.

Villages are interspersed with magnificent forests of rhododendron, magnolia and giant firs. In both the early autumn and late spring, the flowers on the trek make it the kind of walk you will remember for a long, long time.

Namche Bazaar, the Sherpa ‘capital’ from where we head to the magnificent Thyangboche Monastery. This incredible monastery set against the backdrop of Ama Dablam, Everest and Lohtese. Next stop is Pheriche and then after a few more days you arrive in Gorak Shep the last stop before Everest base camp.

The ascend to the summit of Kala Patar rewards with brilliant views of Mount Everest and a breathtaking panorama of the world's highest mountains, before returning to Pheriche and then on back to Kathmandu.
