How to find the answer: Search [last U.S. president not Democrat or Republican] to find that it was the Whig candidate, Zachary Taylor, in the 1848 election. Search [Florida 1848 election] to find that Florida did support the Whig candidate. (You might think the last Whig was Taylor's successor, Millard Fillmore, but he wasn't elected, so Floridians couldn't have voted directly for him.)
